Continuing Ed Terms and Policies
Withdrawal/Cancellation/Refund
You may cancel your registration with seven days' notice before class starts. A processing fee of $25 will be charged for cancellations from courses under $500 and $75 for courses over $500. Transferring your registration to another class when requested at least seven days before the original class starts is free. Only one transfer of a class is allowed. Cancellations or class transfers made with less than seven days' notice will result in the total registration fee forfeiture. Please note that refunds will be applied to any outstanding debt owed to the college first.
Registration
Admission Requirements
There are no requirements to attend most non-credit continuing education classes for adults. For many classes, you do not need a high school diploma or GED, although some experience may be necessary. Some courses do have prerequisites or require a high school diploma or GED and additional documentation. (Check course descriptions for details.)
Registration for students aged 17 or under
Students must talk with the department head in the area of interest. A parent must accompany the student to sign a student/parent statement. Once approved, the student may register and pay for the course. Please call 864-250-8800 to set up a meeting.
Class Confirmation
A class confirmation will be sent electronically or given to you when you register. You should receive a confirmation within three to five days. If you do not, please call the registration office at 864-250-8800. Class location is printed on the confirmation.

Plan 60 Policy
Any legal resident of South Carolina, age 60 and older, who is not employed full-time, may attend most continuing education classes on a space-available basis without tuition.

Awards & Transcripts
Continuing Education Units (CEUs)
CEUs are awarded for most continuing education classes at Greenville Technical College. One CEU represents 10 class hours of instruction. The CEU is a means of recording the various professional development training a person participates in over a period of years. Everyone successfully completing a course for professional development will receive a certificate of completion.
Transcripts
Continuing ed transcripts or duplicate certificates are available. The charge for a duplicate certificate is $10 (some exceptions apply). The charge for a transcript that you pick up is $8. If you need a transcript mailed, the charge is $10. Students must sign a release form. Please call ahead at 864-250-8800.

- CLASSROOM - Traditional in-person class. Students meet together in a classroom.
- ONLINE - Online class consisting of self-paced work on your time, with due dates for projects and assignments.
