Continuing Ed Frequently Asked Questions

CCE stands for Corporate and Continuing Education. CCE provides continuing education and retraining for the adult population, ranging from personal interest to career change. We are sometimes referred to as continuing education or continuing ed.

You have a few options. You can register online or in person at the Continuing Education Registration Office at the Dreisbach/Anderson Student Success Center. Go to the Continuing Education Registration page to learn more about the registration steps.

Payment in full is due when you register.

• If registering online, use a credit card to complete the process.
• Cash and check payments are only accepted in person.
  • If paying by check, make checks payable to Greenville Technical College. Please write the course number in the "For" field.

Regular hours: Monday – Thursday, 8 a.m. – 5 p.m. and Friday, 8 a.m. – 1 p.m.

Monday – Thursday, 9 a.m. – 3 p.m. and Friday, 9 a.m. – 1 p.m.

Continuing education courses are non-credit and can’t be transferred to an academic area of study. Continuing Education Units (CEUs) do not count toward an academic degree or certificate. However, some continuing ed health care courses provide points for weighted admissions process into academic health programs. See instructors for details.

A copy of your transcript may be mailed or picked up when required information is provided. Please note the transcript provides a Satisfactory or Unsatisfactory status - not a grade status.

The charge for a duplicate certificate is $10 (some exceptions apply). The charge for a transcript that you pick up is $8. If you need a transcript mailed, the charge is $10. Students must sign a release form. Please call ahead at 864-250-8800. 

In order to process this request by mail, the following must be provided: 

• a copy of your driver’s license or ID 
• Social Security number 
• the course name 
• year taken 
• where to send the transcript 

Please present a picture ID if picking up in person at the Continuing Education Registration Office at the Dreisbach/Anderson Student Success Center.

You may request a copy of your certificate to be mailed or picked up when required information is provided. In order to process this request, you will need to provide a copy of your driver’s license or ID, Social Security number, the course, year taken, and where to send the certificate. If you choose to come to the Continuing Education Registration Office at the Dreisbach/Anderson Student Success Center, you will need to have a picture ID in order to pick up your certificate. In most cases the fee is $10.

Some courses are delivered both day and evening. Please check the course schedule for options.

You may not be required to have a Student ID for your specific course of study. If you are, you will receive further details either at registration or during class.

Yes, in some cases. Check your confirmation receipt for required books and/or supplies. Books for some courses are included in the registration fee.

No. Continuing education courses do not qualify for federal and state financial aid; however, there are resources available through various agencies that can provide help for continuing ed students. The program manager of the course may have additional information or visit  Funding options for continuing ed courses & training.

In most cases there is no application fee.

You may cancel your registration with seven days' notice before class starts. A processing fee of $25 will be charged for cancellations from courses under $500 and $75 for courses over $500. Transferring your registration to another class when requested at least seven days before the original class starts is free. Only one transfer of a class is allowed.  Cancellations or class transfers made with less than seven days’ notice will result in the total registration fee forfeiture. Please note that refunds will be applied to any outstanding debt owed to the college first.
