Truck Driver Training Program
Truck drivers are responsible for delivering a wide range of items, from automobiles to canned foods. Companies across various industries depend on trucks for efficient pickup and delivery services, as no other mode of transportation offers the convenience of delivering goods door to door.
Our Class-A Truck Driver program (Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) training) provides the optimal balance between classroom learning and on-the-road training to better prepare students for the CDL exam. Class sizes are small, and our experienced instructors provide insight into what it’s like to be a truck driver. The curriculum provides students with training to inspect and operate tractor-trailers and to assume driver responsibilities on the road and at pick-up/delivery points.WHAT TO EXPECT
Basic Class A CDL training, 160 hours, includes classroom, range and road (automatic trucks only). Training is conducted by our training partner ANCORA.
- Weekday courses run Monday-Thursday for 4 weeks.
- Weekend courses run Saturday-Sunday for 8 weeks.
- Class times for both are 7 am - 5:30 pm.
- New courses running monthly.
ENTRANCE REQUIREMENTS (All requirements verified by ANCORA)

State and federal regulations govern the qualifications and standards for truck drivers. Drivers of trucks designed to carry 26,000 pounds or more must obtain a commercial driver's license (CDL) from the state of residence.
The CDL Training: Class A Truck Driver Training curriculum provides students with training to inspect and operate tractor-trailers and to assume driver responsibilities on the road and at pickup/delivery points. Emphasis is placed on vehicle inspections, defensive driving, range maneuvers, motor carrier safety regulations (DOT 380 -397 and a certificate for entry-level drivers), trip planning, cargo handlings, size/weight laws, general maintenance procedures, hours of service and accident prevention. All trucks used in training have automatic transmissions.
Once you complete the program, you may qualify for a Class A CDL by passing the skills test and demonstrating safe operation of a commercial truck.
