- The NCCER General Carpentry (QJ) course provides entry-level skills for individuals to work as carpenters on construction sites and in some manufacturing sites where prefab and modular buildings are constructed. Carpenters typically follow blueprints and building plans, install structures and fixtures, measure, cut, and shape wood, plastic and other materials, construct and install building frameworks, including walls, floors and doorframes, and inspect and replace damaged frameworks.

- The Electrician Technician Residential and Light Commercial program teaches skills for both construction and maintenance electricians using a series of courses developed by the National Center for Construction Education and Research (NCCER). Electricians perform a variety of jobs associated with electrical, construction, and maintenance projects. These can range from something as simple as changing a receptacle in a home to large-scale projects in commercial buildings.
- NCCER Core Introductory to Basic Construction (QJ)
- NCCER Electrical Level I (QJ)
- NCCER Electrical Level II (QJ)
- The SC Journeyman’s Licensing Exam Review course (QJ) is a 15-week exam prep class that includes special emphasis on analyzing code requirements for the South Carolina State Residential and Commercial Electrical License with a career focus on electrical foreman (oversees several journeymen) and an electrical superintendent (oversees several foremen). This class is designed specifically to prepare individuals with more than a year’s paid work experience as an electrician’s helper to sit for the state exam.
- ABC Carolinas Chapter Upstate Electrical Apprenticeship is a partnership with Upstate Electrical Contractors, Associated Builders and Contractors of the Carolinas and Greenville Technical College to provide electrical training through classroom, lab and live work experiences for employees working with the electrical contractors. The four-year apprenticeship program utilizes curriculum developed by the National Center for Construction Education and Research (NCCER) that covers NCCER Core Curriculum – Introductory Craft Skills and NCCER Electrical Level I to IV classes.
Successful completers receive certificates from both the college and nationally recognized credentials from NCCER.
